He sacrificed himself to save us, his death makes him a martyr. There needs to be some statue to honor him somewhere. Personally seeing the smile on his face in the end showed that he was happy to get us out of there, this could please the twelve and perhaps they grant him additional power so he can return to fight Bahamut later on, to come back as the Primal Phoenix would be so fitting. Farfetched yes I kno, but worthy of the ascension. Died in the fire we just got to be able to find the way to bring him back in it.

I was thinking that if we do see him again it will be his spirit offering his advice or fragments of his essence appearing in another character that helps us.

I think Louisoix should die an honorable death and leave it as that.

It's going to be up to SE to show us the next story unfold come 2.0 ARR. Let's wait after 2.0 ARR release and we'll find out based on the storyline!

I'd rather let SE direct the story than someone requesting someone to come back to life. For example "Aeris's death"...

How about we just let the story unfold the way the writers meant it to? If he dies, he dies. If he lives, he lives.

I know this is Final Fantasy we're talking about, which always made "death" a somewhat special status, but...really, it needs to have some weight. Let it be.

He gave his life to save us all. If he is brought back it really kills the story. I do agree however he needs to be remembered some way in ARR.
