Anyone make sense of the final system message?
Anyone make sense of the final system message?
I was wondering about that myself.
Thats probably when they wanted to play cutscene in game and couldn't <.<
LOL, maybe it was the Dev's talking to each other and accidentally hit "/sysmessage"
I think it was telling of our disconnect with the High Command for the alliance, they were giving orders leading up to the big battle but fell silent as the time winded down. It also may have been due to the fact that the flow of aether has finally broken between atomos's draining and the proximity of Dalamund.
The main host were fighting down in the Flats. We were just an auxiliary force making sure reinforcements couldn't get there from Castrum Novum. The message presumably means that we lost contact with the main force. Because the message came right at the end, presumably something terrible happened to them. For example, perhaps Bahamut.
Here are the system msgs I saw when I was able to log in:

I think it's actually a general error for when they actually lose connection with the main host...>_>
If we assume the 'system messages' are acting as the NPC linkshells we use in quests, and we are receiving orders from our leaders... then whoever said the "Confound it" message is someone who is not the leader, but just another person in the linkshell informing us that we can no longer obtain orders. Our communications may have been severed by the approach of Dalamud, similarly to the way magnetic poles and solar wind can disrupt our own communications here on Earth. I do not know how linkshells are managed/used, but if aether has anything to do with it... I would imagine Dalamud has ways to shut that whole thing down.
This is all speculation, but that last message is really left there as interpretation. I sort of like that there was confusion and questions left unanswered... >_>;;
