    Lack of animations not addressed in live letter

    I can only hope the animations, at the very least are touched up when beta comes round.

    They mentioned before that some animations were cut to cut down on cost. They also mentioned that they were adding more animations.

    I'd wait until we get to beta with that. They did not put a lot of stuff into Alpha client and it's not getting updated along the way since they are working on the Beta version at the same time and it contains all the graphical goodies.

    I'm glad someone else made this thread so I don't have to.

    Looking through the official gridania alpha video thread, it's pretty clear that the animation is one of the main concerns.

    So far I think this is really the only big eye sore in what appears to be an otherwise awesome revamp, and if they want to make a world class game they need their world class animation back. If they can just do this, they are golden for me. I don't want to look at FFXIV and constantly feel like it's sloppy and downgraded.

    They could have said something as simple as "don't fret, we're looking into adding a few more character animations".
    Just anything to put our concerns at ease. They mentioned that they were working on re-shaping armour to fit the new race genders and we were also shown a new mount, so from that they obviously don't mind showing/discussing wip material.

    or maybe they simply had a ton of questions to answer, and they decided not to respond to the one you wanted?
