Another thing ..How did Bahamut know exactly where the cities were if he has been trapped for 1500 years or more?

I imagine he could sense the current state of the world. Nael Deus Darnus seemed to almost give the impression that he was being possessed by Bahamut. Constantly referring to Dalamud as his "Master". And that Bahamut was in fact in charge. Also being a primal he possibly could have had a sixth sense with the aether flow as to where the biggest concentrations of life were near by.

I believe it was stated that he was imprisoned in Dalamud for "Several Millenia". Wouldn't that put it at 3,000+ O.o

Its Bahamut. Did you SEE how HUGE that guy was?! He probably saw the entire continent once he was free. He was high up. And huge. Besides, whether he saw them or not, he could have just flew around wrecking havoc anywhere anyway. But. I mean. Since he was the size of the dalamud.. Well bigger... Considering he was scrunched up in there. He, like dalamud, was visible from all parts of the continent I'm sure. And if you can see him, he can see you.

makes me shiver to think there would be a force great enough to control Bahamut, or even beyond that

Ahh okay.. cool heheh. I knew someone had said it.

As for how he knew where the cities were.. I don't think he really "knew" at all. I mean, for one, he was just on a general rampage, and given how huge he is, and how quickly he gets around, I think he was just racing around the continent in general, wreaking havoc on everything in sight.

Also, even without knowing exactly where the cities were, it was evening and all 3 cities are pretty well lit up. Even the lights of Grid would be visible through the trees. From his vantage point, way up there, he could have easily seen all those lit up areas and just made a dash for them.
