Dear SE.

As amazing as the cut scene was, it doesn't really make up for the fact that people spent a week killing things in cities and at camps, only to spend their final 2 hours on a black "now loading" screen.

A -lot- of people stayed up late for the event, or skipped out on other responsibilities to make sure they got to experience those last few moments in Eorzea.

And to be honest, it was a real let down. This wasn't the first time that people all gathered in one area, so there really isn't an excuse for the problems. Atmos should have been the "beta" test for handling this.

A lot of people are rightly upset. And it doesn't do well to have your final act in the game come off as a failure. Reputation wise it seems a bit embarrassing, especially when you are trying to convince people that the new team has fixed all the issues of the old one.

And arguing that it's the fault of the servers isn't overly legitimate, as everyone knew the quality of the servers and what they could handle beforehand. Even if you weren't sure of how many people would show up, you should have planned for the worst.

So please, give something back to all those people who stayed up late, skipped out on life for a day/night, and devoted themselves to the finale of your game

On a more positive note:
The cut scene was absolutely amazing. I'm really looking forward to 2.0 and I'm sure it will be an amazing game. But please, learn from your mistakes, plan ahead, and make sure this doesn't happen in the future.

I'm sure nearly everyone here will forgive you for this, as we know how hard everyone has worked on 2.0. And even if we get nothing for our troubles, I want to say thank you for an amazing two years and a somewhat amazing climatic end

:]
