Also, potatoes. So you've been playing since CE release and can't get into the game or keep crashing or you are wondering where these last event mobs are and you are blaming Yoshida. You might even think 2.0 is going to be a failure because of this event.
Get over yourself.
If you've been playing since the beginning, then you know what this game is like. And you also know why Yoshida is starting from scratch with ARR.
Get over yourself.
Yoshida probably will apologize on the Live Letter but he shouldn't have to. 1.0's structure isn't his fault and this last event is just for giggles.
Lighten up.
P.S. You also don't get to keep the relic.
Totally agree. Get over yourself and lighten up.
I mainly just want to see the video. Only thing i've been waiting on. Here's hoping for more then a 1min 30 sec vid with 1 min 20 sec footage that we've already seen.
I knew this was bound to happen, so i'm not worried or angry. Hell i'm happy this damn game is finally going down!
This seems to be flying over people's heads.
Yes, you are entitled to a good, final event. SE dropped the ball here.
No, you are not entitled to anything and everything just because you were playing from day one.
you do know that I really dont care what you say right? I dont care if he comes to my house and hand delivers me the ending my point is that me personally think ppl have every right to be mad. for someone to say get over it is not for them to say.
I dont work, I stay home all the time due to being stuck in a wheelchair 24/7 so I play games 14 is my game of choice, its ending tonight and I cant even laod my character thats been logged in all day. so yes I'm mad/sad and I'm sure plenty of others have their reasons for being mad/sad.
so yea I'm mad want to tell me not to be go ahead..
How about a final event? I hear they are in short supply these days.
Or you know, they should have properly planned for an event which they made silly decisions like letting EVERY single account holder log on. Yes, they've realized that was a pathetic decision now, but, perhaps devs with a little foresight and knowledge of their servers would have known that was a bad choice in the first place!
oh yes because an apology will definately fix everything.
How dare you people get mad because the game crashed during an event that you were planning for a long time now. You all have no reason to get mad that the servers are shitty and definatly shouldn't blame the person in charge
I get what the OP's saying, but here's where I think SE messed up:
They know the servers are weak. We all do. When did they think having a big 'end of the world event', and inviting inactive players to come back and witness it, was a good idea? I've said all along they should have made a cutscene for people to witness, or released a final video for only subscribed players (or people who have ever had an account). This would have been within 1.0's limitations, and it would have made everyone happy.
Unless SE specifically wanted us to see where 1.0's failures were in order to make us more excited for ARR, this was terrible execution. It's not necessarily the tools you have at your disposal, but how you use those tools. This was a square peg in a round hole.
Anyway, I don't feel a sense of entitlement because I have the CE edition, or because I have Legacy status, or because I have been paying since release, or because I have a relic that I earned before server save... this is just common sense. I think I was looking forward to this just as much as any other player was, and I understand why they are disappointed...
And disappointment is where it should end. Anger, or that sense of entitlement, is unrealistic and... odd, for a game.
In order to save face, SE is going to have to do SOMETHING to give us an 'end of the world' surprise. I'm sure they're already talking with their developers to make some sort of CS or movie that we can watch to make up for it. Yoshi's not stupid and he's not going to let the 'last event' go down in flames.

I laughed so hard at your P.S. note
