Urgent Question: Do we need to be in Mor Dhona for the final event?

Is there any reason to be in Mor Dhona other than to kill imperials? My original plan was to find a high cliff in Thanalan or La Noscea to watch Dalamud, but if we all have to cluster in Mor Dhona we're just going to crash, half of us mid-event!

I suppose you don't have to be in Mor Dhona, but I assume that's where the best stuff is going to happen. I say "assume" because I wouldn't actually know, for obvious reasons.

Anyway, I don't know what to expect. I've heard someone datamined whatever the final event was. Maybe it was a lie (I ordered them not to say anything about it under threat of disownment ). But if something more than these silly battles DOES happen, I'll be annoyed if I miss it.
