You're happy to be able to log in? I think most of us would be happy to be able to log in and see what's happening.
If you're in the 13001 purgatory like the rest of us, then I don't see how one could possibly be happy.

If someone wins an argument, they have learned nothing.
FOR DOCKHAND!
RIP 1.0![]()

I'm not happy, but I'm accepting of the situation. I don't feel the need to purge my disatisfaction onto the development team or SE.

LOVE YOU THREAD
I'm hearing a lot of sob stories and people acting entitled because they bought the CE and have been with the game up until now and they're legacy and "deserve a spot".
I too have been with the game since the beginning, since closed beta even. My account got cancelled on my birthday in September because of a bank issue, and I was not able to complete what I had wanted to do and was not able to log in again until the last couple of days. I didn't cry about it. I didn't make a huge post on the forums. I didn't phone Square Enix and bitch that I was entitled to it and that it was unfair. I went on with my life.
So now, even though I'm here to support the final day and posting on a friend's account, I can't log in even if I got past the congestion because Square Enix banned people who were cut off in September. So I can't experience the final event right now and stuck beyond purgatory.
But yes, I'm happy. Maybe artificially happy, but happy nonetheless, because I know that at least SE tried to make a special event for everyone and all everyone else can do is ungratefully bitch about it, in their comfortable homes, on their high speed internet connection.
First world problems.
Get over it.

SE isn't a little girl who tried baking you a poorly cooked chocolate cake. SE is a multi million dollar company providing a service. Just trying doesn't cut it. Specially not when it was so poorly designed. But yes, I'm happy. Do you really find this titanic sized crash from professional video game designers as "an acceptable try" at an event?

Agreed! I'm tired of reading these inane defenses, making out SE like some orphan child and that we should overlook their mistakes out of some misplaced sense of pity. You can't defend bad product service by saying "Well they've always been shitty!" especially when they claim over and over again about how they're turning a new leaf and are trying to gain the customer's trust.SE isn't a little girl who tried baking you a poorly cooked chocolate cake. If anything our anger does not come from some sort of demonizing bias against SE, it's because we want to believe that we can trust them. And people should stop acting so haughty and surprised that as loyal paying costumers we're a bit upset if not angry at such a poorly executed event. Quite frankly it's a back-hand to our faces.

I am understanding of both sides of the argument, I especially feel bad for those that had LS/Friend events scheduled for the end of service.
Venting on the threads is expected but ultimately is neither constructive nor will change the situation.

Yeah I just want to see the countdown hit 0 watch trailer then live letter. Would have liked to fight imperials but hey it is what it is lol. Judging from alpha screenshots showing loads of players in same area hopefully this kind of thing ends with 1.0.
Thanks for the fun times despite the flaws SE and looking forward to A realm reborn and a bright future ahead.

I was here from alpha 1.0 and bought 2 CE and also if i'm a bit upset i'm accepting the situation, without putting the dev team on a cross. Maybe i'm a strange person, who knows.
