Initially I was thinking the same as you... postpone the event so people can experience it, but at this point you have to ask:

  • What's the point?
Ultimately the idea was an End Of The World-type scenario, with *many players / most of the server* fighting off something together.

Sounds cool, but if our old 1.0 Servers can't handle it, no amount of delaying will "fix" that. See what I mean?


So if they space it out so, let's say, anyone over the next 48 Hours can experience it, then maybe people can log in, but at different times.

But then you might have, say, ~10 - 15 people "defending Eorzea till Dalamud comes down!" or even fewer people (Depending on when you logged in if they delayed it).

Not very "epic" or "grand" at all at that point.

And if they balanced it originally so that they wanted HUNDREDS of players to pile on whatever Garlean forces were at Castrum Novum, how could they handle that when you delay the end event?

I think at this point, SE should just let the event pass and give us the Live Producer Letter.
