The problem is that ANYONE could have reasoned that, that's what would happen, and plan accordingly.

This isn't launching a game, this isn't applying a patch, and it certainly isn't the release of an expansion. It is an event that has been hyped for over a year and the entirety of the game's storyline has been leading to.

This is an event using nothing but pre-existing content and simple battles, and all of the knowledge that it will be massively attracting people.

There is no excuse.

Even if its an event only. When people all log in at the same time. And not the normal schedules people around the world usually play, things go sour.

Blizzard does this mistake many times over the 8 years ive played their games, and other MMOs ive played to over several years. This is nothing new in the world of online gaming.

Sure its not fun not being able to take part in this one time event. But bad things happen. I will just sit and wait for the Live letter stream

If you take Blizzard's Diablo 3, which was in production for over a decade, gathering massive hype, breaking sales records on presales etc, you would think Blizzard would do some better planning, but they didnt.

I am simply saying, SE is NOT unique to making mistakes like this. That is just what annoys me about people badgering SE as they are the only gaming company in the world that makes bloopers :/
