It'd be nice if SE planned to compensate us for this massive event-fail, but I get the sinking feeling they probably wont.

the problem is that the entire player-base, European, Japanese, and U.S. are all in game/trying to get in all at the same time, no game was designed for that kind of stress.

Why do you blame only SE for these things? Blizzard has also been notorious for launching patches, games, expansions etc with insane crashes. Not played D3 at launch and following weeks after have you XD

Blizzard and D3 launch says hello XD
They had sales upfront and should have known how many people would log in at the same time and taken it into consideration. Did they? Nope XD
Doesnt help either that people who has quit playing XIV for month/years suddenly wants to come back for a last glimpse hehe.
