finally log in Sargatanas
I look up to SE as they are the ones whos provided me with some of the most memorable momens in videogames in over 20 years now. So I am willing to accept that they do mistakes, as the ones working for them are only humans too. And we all know humans does mistakes. And SE is not the only gaming company that does mistakes.
Sure I am depressed with not being able to take part in this final sendoff before ARR.
I got the loading screen while fighting. Was hoping for a cut scene. got a dc =/
This is what I mean, Altera. You are associating the myriad developers and people from the games of old with a corporation that has decayed significantly since a merger many years ago. Your empathy for what is essentially a profit venture gilded with Japanese cultural ethics is lost on anyone it is meant to touch.
It is the outcry as consumers which gave birth to ARR. It is the call for sanity and a return to quality that changed the direction of the project. If people do not make their anger known, there is no way to improve in this climate.
By being an apologist, you create problems.

As far as I see it, SE has seen the mistakes they made, officially apologized, and now spend thousands/millions on rebuilding the entire game from scratch. Other companies today would just terminate the game if it fails.
And there is also a big difference of being a constructive critic, over just being a complainer crying their lungs off
Saying: SE you fail so hard, get your act together, does virtually nothing.
I have even written letters to SE, where I detail the issues I have had with their games, and give my views on how I would like to have seen it done instead etc.
And yes, I still have things I dont approve of with SE. But the things I like they do, outnumbers the things I dislike.
So I accept that I cant have every single possible thing I want.
When I gave up WOW as I did not like the path Blizzard was putting their game on, I wrote them a 12 page long letter. Writing down every single concern I had, and listed several things that would make me remain playing their game.
They ended up offering me a free copy of MOP and D3 as the ones who received my letter was grateful for me taking the time to voice my concern in detail.
If I was playing XIV during launch, I would do the same thing. But they had already admitted their mistakes officially. And that is not something you see every day.

They spend those millions in the hopes that they will make them back, and also due to the aforementioned cultural mindset of the Japanese.
They like your money, not you. For your own sake, don't convince yourself anyone there actually cares about you.
Ofc they like my money. And its my choice wether they receive my money or not.
If SE continues to disappoint you. Write them a detailed letter your main issues with them as a Company and their games explaining exactly why you have decided they will not get your money anymore.
Cause if money is all they think of, then thats where it will hurt them the most isnt it?
So, that it?
