I teach secondary/junior college (or middle/high school) concert band.
My whole life mainly revolves around teaching, playing and creating music - I perform in amateur-level symphonic band (or wind orchestra) and symphonic orchestra on the flute and clarinet, sometimes on the oboe.
Upcoming performances include music by John Williams (Jurassic Park, Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone, Indiana Jones etc) at the end of Nov and Beethoven's Fifth Symphony (BA-NA-NA-NAAAAAHHH!!!) in mid-Dec.
If you hunt around on my Youtube page you'll find a couple of my arrangements for concert band of music from video games / anime... there's one of FF XIV.....
Wow the amazing jobs we all have show just how awesome a community we are. While it seems obvious, until you read it before your eyes it is hard to imagine bankers, teachers, space debris monitors, those seeking employment, students, small business owners, barristas, IT guys/girls and the like all coming together to share in this game. This has been an awesomely fascinating thread and I hope others are still willing to share.
If anyone has posted links, let's support them by watching their videos, going to their sites, or since some of them are crafty maybe even commission something! It all helps our player community strong and continues to open up doors that otherwise weren't necessarily closed, just never actively considered!
I work at a community college very close to home as an "Administration & Office Specialist", but all I really am is a Delivery Boy.
I really hope you've seen this, if you haven't, must watch:

So cool to read about all the different walks of life that FFXIV players have experienced, with this one game being a common thread between us all.
As for me, I'm a TV/Film director, currently working on a CG animated series.

Haha, I'm an autistic person (AS) and a software engineer (here) myself. I've heard about these efforts and actually took part in some experiments at my university, but I'm still skeptical of the effectiveness of that kind of software. As for me I have a masters in Software Engineer, currently working as a researcher on facial animation and computer graphics, on a serious game to teach people with Autism to recognize facial emotions.
I have a degree in Computer Game programming, and a Masters degree in 3D animation for virtual environments....
And because I live in Scotland those types of jobs are few and far between.....so I started my own Videography business.
I am unemployed right now living alone in the middle of nowhere. I was in school for computer science a few years ago until I had a moment where I pictured myself doing for a living and its not in that field. I am legally blind so finding work is not as easy as some may think but I have some friends from XI in the area who are trying to pull strings and get me into their job. I spend most of my time thinking about my future while kinda sitting at roadblock in the present.
I could go on for ages about myself but pretty much I am the friendly guy who loves to help any and everyone who does more for others than he does for himself, both RL and In-game.

I am a technical account manager for a big IT company with a blue name.
