I'm loving the little speech bubbles from NPCs in ARR.

Noticed in Alpha screenshots and in the Live Letter III that NPCs that aren't being talked might comment alone or with others by the ancient ways of the bubbles.



I like it. NPC interaction is always neat, and I've seen the same thing done in Xenoblade, one of the best games to come out lately. For those that have played games like Skyrim, they do the same thing but voiced ("Curved. Swords.").

I'm looking forward to the localization team adding their charm for these little blurbs. I'm sure they'll love throwing in plenty o' references like they did before ("My cousin is out fighting primals, and what do I get? Guard duty.")

Oooh, that's smart. For those "What did that guy just say?" moments.

It's a gigantic improvement from having to read a clustered and fast-moving chat log, or alternatively the fixed window that takes up the entirety of the bottom-centre of your screen currently. :<

Hmm wonder if it only for npcs because i remember yoshi-p saying that speech bubbles for players wont fit the world of ffxiv and he does not want to add it.

I love them too, and I hope there's an option for players to have them as well at some point. I liked them in World of Warcraft, because it would make chatting with people more than just staring at a chat log.

Will i hope there a way to turn it off i myself don't like the speech bubbles and yoshi-p seem to dislike it and said it such wont fit the world of ffxiv but i guess he could change his mind to make people happy.
