I has a question... why going so early? That's a full 24hours before the event is supposed to start. I'd like to join in on it, but it just doesn't seem as epic to trek out there, then teleport back to Uldah to play around, and then port back out to Brittlebark the next day.

Later than that would also be unbearably late, or in the morning for European users.

The idea of going the day before is to avoid overlapping too much with anything Square Enix organizes in the case the GM want to throw something up leading to the event

Also, that way we have plenty time once in mor dhona to party, socialize, say our goodbyes, take screenshots, film and stuff without having the big event breathing on our neck

Tried to keep things reasonable. I tried both trips and from ul'dah it'd take at least two hours between getting everyone organized and moving, waiting for stragglers and all. A slightly shorter trip is more manageable for everyone (on top of that, i'm an idiot, and I totally forgot that there was is a pass between Thanlanan and Mor Dhona. I blame th wonderful 1.0 maps with so many useless areas)

Anyway, from Gridania it's a little more scenic and lore-friendly, as it's where the Alliance of Eorzea normally meets

But hey, if someone wants to start walking from ul'dah to be in gridania in time for the rendez-vous, feel free to

Too bad. I'm in Europe too, but had to try and work timezones to allow participation to everyone, so we opted for a later time to make sure US people are off from work and Japanese people are already awake, since most people don't work on saturday, so we hoped that Europeans could stay up a little later
