    Why do "Relic" weapons have to be on the top of the food chain when it comes to weapon value? There is no reason why non-relic weapons can't be superior.

    I'd like to point out that there we're items in FFXI not part of the relic equipment set that we're probably better than the actual relic equipment. It's all relative, of course.

    not really there were really good ones yes,
    and the answer is time spent aquiring them they gave you weapon skills aswell with hidden effects.
