Will Relics create the same problems that they did in FFXI?

Sure, they were the best weapon of choice for many jobs if you could actually get one. That said, even in those 10 years, it isn't like relic weapons were commonplace or expected.

For the time and effort required to build one, I'm GLAD that you couldn't get anything better for a very, very long time. I certainly do hope XIV follow suit and I don't view this as a problem.

Yoshi already said Titan weapons would be better then relics.

It was a while ago, either in one of the producer videos or quoted from a rep. I'm "pretty sure" that is what they said.
