I dont mind that the current relics still are the strongest ones bt come on...make the quest more interesting and not so random...

As many have pointed out, this current quest has 2 random factors. Hamlet Seals and Melds. The rest is farming/quests/fights.
Please stop calling this current quest "random". Thank you.
I hope the next set of weapons that are better almost require a gear check of relics in order to get so that people that can't even complete the relic quest are butt hurt.
Or I just hope the quest is much harder than the current relic quest because it is just to easy.

But it is random...and offers no insight into the class itself whatsoever "hey go get some coins...get lucky with a double meld (after blowing 5 or 6 of the weapons you need)...now ummm I dunno go get some random seals from a crappy thing that requires you to mix some potions while a paladin runs in circles...yes a DEFENSE by MAKING POTS instead of I dunno.... FIGHTING THE DAMN THINGS.... because you know..facing the beast tribes with cooking tools is such a good idea! now ummm...go kill ifrit cuz...dunno...fire is good...whatvs just do it"
Theres no interesting factor in getting your weapon and it the quest was made in the most roundabout and annoying manner possible just as a time sink...THIS is the reason I didnt even bother with it after failing 3 double melds for my mnk weapon I gave up on it hoping they will make it more interesting....not to mention it would be far better if it was a solo attempt, a line of quests, HARD, but soloable to prove you mastered your current class.
deakka has basically summed up what the mechanics on equipment should be and is in ff14 and modern mmorpg. people are still stuck to that ff11 mentality of equipment. GET OFF IT AND GET OVER IT. yall better adjust with the times or dont play this game PERIOD.
Still don't know why they slapped the name relics on them should have just kept the Job weapons name. Too many people gonna have this butt hurt attachment to them if they make a wep that's stronger than them.
I have to wonder at some of you people, seriously.
Get down from your ivory tower and act like decent human beings for a moment.
There is such a thing as having a right idea with the wrong motiviations.
There should be a set of passable weapons that allow you to work on your path towards the weapons you desire that are easily accessable, and these transitional weapons should not be looked down upon by the community for being 'too easy to aquire'.
That said, those who want to go further for the sake of going further, for the sake of continual self improvement, and the sake of a challenge, should get their requests fulfilled.
Btw, "Gear check" is a bad, horrible idea. If a person wants to aquire a weapon superior to a Relic, then the relic itself should have a path the exceed even that level of performance. Simple as that. There dosen't need to be a direct conflict there.
To the elite: Please calm down. Most players do not want your relic weapons at little to no effort. Those that do, are just trolling you. Most players just want a weapon thats "Good Enough." To allow them to play the game and advance based on their skill rather than a gear-check. If they chose to grab a weapon that is, competes, is supeiror or even equal to that of a Relic Weapon, they likely want to attempt the effort level required.
This "noo, we got to push downz ze evil casuals!" is just really sad and pathetic. If anything there should be an encouragement to get these players to step up to the higher challenges, instead of feeling frustrated.
Less hands prepared to slap people away, and more outstretched to guide them up.
If the level cap goes up, Relic weapons will be outdone by regular weapons.
This is a good thing.
We already have way too many level 50 weapons.
I think the idea here Igolf is to have Relic Weapons grow with the Power Creep that comes with rising levels.
Essentially: Just because you have a Finished Gae Bolg, dosen't mean you're finished with the Gae Bolg, you'll have ways to enhanse it as the average weapon's power goes up.
