FFXIV is actually design'd for Casual Gamer, beside Ifrit X, Darnus ( Hard ) and yet you see people want it more casual and have random groups with switching out people every 5 minutes, cause someone have to pee? If people can not stay for 1 hour in a Dungeon which actually just takes aprox. 20 Minutes, then those people should not play a MMO. It is selfish indeed to say "i want to come and go whenever i want, i dont care if the group can not keep going".

Examples? WoW hard modes, Rift, SW nightmares, GW2 explorable modes (not that hard like wow hard modes btw) , Tera hard modes (or even normal).

And all these games, don't have timer... They're all casual games following your concept?
All those Games have Timer in certain Content's, did you actually play them?

FFXI - Dynamis, Nyzul Isle, Salvage etc ( well when i quit they all had Timer )
Rift - Has timers to reach a Bonus Stage
    GW2 - Dragon Timer

To name a couple Timer. If you miss it, you miss it. And GW2 is actually a casual Game.

Sorry hmm i didn't explain well, with "even FFXI" i mean same of FFXIV cuz timers.

Rift just had this in some 5 man instance.

GW2 Dragon timer? You mean Zhaitan in the last story line?
Well i'm actually playing GW2 sometimes (already abandoned him after the 1° month) , done Dungeon Master title (completed all the dungeons in all the paths) and i don't remember any timer lol , maybe just in some step of quests?

    -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Fact is that almost no other mmorpg has timers, except FFXI-FFXIV!
Why ANY other SH, big or small, don't implement them if they're so convenient, fun and let you save resources at the same time? Because no one wants them! Simply, players don't want them.

Even if i stop saying wich are advantages without timers (imho of course), you have to remember that Final Fantasy XIV actual player base is nothing compared to what they want to allure in with ARR. And a lot of new players (even old) coming from other games will be disappointed again, cuz they're used to MMO standards! And no timers it's a standard like it was UI, or Jump, quest system, PvP, ecc. All things getting implented! (Concidence?)

I'm talking with my friends on TS and EVERYONE it's blaming me for timers, except one that still plays FFXI (coincidence again?) .

So even if i leave my interest away, i'm still worried for the game success, and dungeon timers, are a wrong piece of the puzzle. (I hope you got my concept, even if my english sux badly).
