That's the point. The game wasn't made better because of the "incredible" animations. Maybe they aren't as big of a deal as everyone is making them out to be?

Certainly not, but they are a deal. If we're satisfied with everything else we've seen, why shouldn't we ask for them to improve the thing we aren't totally satisfied with. The game isn't released yet (and is an MMO besides), it's not a travisty to point out areas for improvement. The opposite in fact. Even a small annoyance is worth spending the time to fix if it's the biggest problem.
