    This isn't either/or. They aren't mutually exclusive. The problem with XIV wasn't based on the complexities of the animations, it was based on the animation lock.
    well im pretty sure they tried out themselves on their test server.

    server lag -> was gone, animation lock -> gone.. stopping animation -> "hmm it still feels like something is delaying the gameplay" ... *removement of stopping animation* -> "so now it feels even more reactive than before".

    its about maximizing the reactive gameplay. the more less time is in between pressing the button and between actually perform the action the better it is. there have been many factors in 1.0. which delayed the game's reaction.


    who knows? But we already had a statement of yoshi p. clarifying exactly about this concern. you mean he is lieing? or his team to incapable to do so?
    they have test servers to try out things on their own. and if it feels much better when you leave out that animation... do you want to stick to it then?

    well i like the nintendo philosophy then... focus on fun and on gameplay. As i mentioned. Offline final fantasys did'nt have these animations either and did not make it more worse without it.
