I think they should add 50's camps for behest as well
Tessa, the problem right now is what people think is the appropriate level too
while it is very obvious who isnt in regards to everyones opeione(anything further then 10 away from the behest for instance) some people still disagree on what the actual appropriate range is.
The rank 40 shouldnt be allowed to enter the behest period, for a few reasons
1) he doesnt contribute to the party bonus, and doesnt even get any SP.
2) allowing these much higher players to enter has entered into many many instances of griefing where people who throw fits and kill off entire 10-30 behests as level 50s cuz they dont like someone in said behest or just wanna mess with players, and this happens ALOT more often lately.
Now on the lower end it also becomes an issue
1) you cant contribute to the behest cuz your too weak to hurt the mobs
2) you dont contribute to the party bonus
now, putting a level range is a good idea, but making is a "strict" range is an issue that alot of people wont like, i prefer a looser range myself (+-10 is pretty loose and fair)
Syncing peoples levels is also an issue as it then puts gaps between the level of the person fighting, and their gear, in which case youll have alot of people in lower behests with 50 gear which is majorly gimped cuz they are no longer fighting in it close to 50.
a Level cap is the more appropriate choice in the end, an upper and lower limit. Not making it too strict makes for people who are in the appriopriate range to not break up their parties, and be able tod o the behest together still(some parties may still be affected by this, but those are usualy on the extreme low end, and usualy those parties are struggling to begin with in that range and shouldnt have been in that spot)

Its common to switch to a higher rank class to boost behest results. This boost will be directly impacted with rank restrictions. More food.

If we are talking about just Behests, then I think Behests should be more challenging. Sync everyone to the same level, SP gain is based on Party size and bonuses. So in other words, 16 can attend, but sp gain maximum would be if the teams separated into 2 groups.
If this is done, there should be enough mobs to support a 16-man behest x2. Twice as many mobs that show up currently.
Whatever the case may be, I'm more for the Sync being done where everyone is the same rank, preferably the camp rank. Enemy difficulty and SP payout should be higher as well.
I agree with his. Behests are just way too simple once you have 15 people of different levels. Also, I think the lmobs that appear need to be a sort of "mini-boss." You could even add some lore to them. The mobs that appear at the end currently lack strength and a serious "beware" appearance. If we are talking about just Behests, then I think Behests should be more challenging. Well, to be honest, they should be simple with 15 people.I agree with his. Behests are just way too simple once you have 15 people of different levels. But, I do agree and would like to see "mini-boss" type battles as the final battle.

While I do agree people need to go to camps/nodes that are closer to their rank, this also would cause problems.
For instance, if your on my server, Wutai, then pretty much all camps outside of uldah are fairly empty. So what if you wanted to solo one that was lets say 30 when you are 24 or maybe if you are rank 35. If you are the only one there a rank requirement should not stop you. While this is a good idea, if they can make it only where large groups of people join behest and kicks out those from behest not within certain ranks, only then would I agree with this.
It is not the quantity of friends you have that determines your worth, its the quality of friends that does.

Even if you were to solo, there would be less mobs in the longrun. If you are too high a level, you'd still be capped, and the difficulty would be increased. Its still possible to complete, but you'd also be earning more SP than you would currently. and since everyone would be capped at a certain level, everyone would be getting the same amount of SP.While I do agree people need to go to camps/nodes that are closer to their rank, this also would cause problems.

EDIT: Just thought that if parties were to be split up into 2 8-man Parties, there would have to be two Mini-Bosses. Thats something to think about. How would this work out?
Yeah the amount of mobs in the Behest is dependant on the amount of people in the Behest not their Ranks.

No i'm pretty sure i've seen larger amounts of mobs with smaller groups of people due to the switch to 50 trick.
edit:
I think some testing is in order but nobody wants to get banned
