Memories of Eorzea Contest (NA) - Entry Thread

Memories from my previous server, Rabanastre.
A reward of calm, ethereal scenery with my friends for an accomplisment of reaching the Isles of Umbra gate.

Back in the good ol' days full parties had 15 people! And we didn't have Chocobos, Goobues and Airships back then mind you, so everyone who wanted to get anywhere had to walk from the nearest Aetheryte and it was always uphill every which way!

Lots of folks in this picture are no longer with us unfortunately, hopefully some of them will pop back in for the final event.

From past to future

Christmas has always been one of my favorite times of the year. It was a lonely winter for me since my husband, to whom I had just married the month prior, got deployed with the military into an "undisclosed location in the middle east." Being an introvert, I turned to the world known as Eorzea. There, my faithful friends awaited me and kept my spirits high. Tsumugi, my mentor and one of my oldest friends, took me on a journey to obtain our holiday outfits. We spent many hours crawling through the woods of The Black Shroud and trekking across the highlands of Coerthas. When we reached the Owls Nest we ran into one of Tsumugi's friends who initiated a snowball fight! Tsumugi and I teamed up against our new found adversary and ran him out of the camp. We then proceeded to have a snowball fight duel of our own.

I died an awful lot first learning how to defeat Ifrit, but as always, Ade was there to protect me. <3

This image to me shows how great the FFXIV community can be. By meeting great friends (unfortunately not all shown), together we can help each other accomplish anything. Whether it be to conquer the most challenging enemies Eorzea has to offer or having companions to travel with through the impending doom(clothes optional ).

I do not think it happens often, though you hear about it from time to time. People that meet online and then form relationships? Sometimes they become just friends, but sometimes it blossoms into something more than that.



In this case, these two adventurers decided it was best for them to never be apart on their journey.

From their first outing when Eorzea was still so new and untouched by other such adventurers:



To their first hecklers, standing around the aetherytes and nay-saying or preying on the weak and innocent:



Even to their magnificent fights with notorious monsters that spanned all over Eorzea:



They have already traveled so far, and overcome each challenge presented before them alongside meeting other friendly adventurers to venture with too.



But after the battle is won, they always find comfort at the end of the day in the company of each other.



A new age is approaching, and we will fight to make it ours too.
