Name change

I hear a lot about changing your characters appearance, but I have yet to hear whether we will be able to change our character names in 2.0. I put a lot of work into the character and I have considered changing the appearence, but most of all a better name. Anyone have any info on this?

At the moment, the dev team are working to make character name change possible but nothing is set in stone as yet^^;. Keep your ears open though, hopefully there will be some news regarding this soon^^

The devs keep saying that they are trying to make it possible.
Unfortunately, with Legacy members having their name in the AAR credits, I don't see them being able to do it.

As we stated before, existing players will receive a one-time chance to change the appearance, race, and gender of their characters.

As far as the name change goes, we are currently doing everything in our powers to make sure we are able to meet your expectation.

I think the "meet players expetations" part is referencing the number of allowable characters used in your name. It had been brought up that the alpha video naming mechanism doesn't allow for as many characters to be used in your name as the current version of the game does.
