    1-6, plus they could make the relic quests unique for each job and follow up on the class quests. Like the Paladin guy with Oathkeeper goes to search for Curtana, and of course you join and find it broken, then you both set out on your quest to restore the weapon, finding clues and figureing out what you need and how to do it. They never needed a double meld portion or a seal drop portion, those just artifically make the quest longer, with random lengths of time. They needed more story behind it not by some random guy that happens to know about and be able to craft every relic weapon (tho that could have been left to the player, which would have added the time of leveling a craft or gather into the equasion), and more things that forced time to be taken to aquire the weapon, same amount of time for each weapon, but different methods.

    It would be fine if they keep relic reborn for people who are currently workin on it, but still make new, more interesting quests with a much less random time-to-completion. I would rather abandon Relic Reborn to work on a more interesting and more realistically time consuming quest than something that depends more on your luck and/or wallet. They can keep ifrit as the final encounter if they really want to reuse content that badly.... but they could do better. It could be less stupid than Relic reborn, more interesting and in-depth than whatever XI had.

    if the quest did change completely we all wanted it to. remember we wanted major changes in ARR.

    Yea but I dont think just changing the quest would be enough to make it interesing and really unique for each Job. Theres nothing that makes you wait, you could blow through everything in a few days. XI had quests that made you wait in them. I remember both the samarai job unlock quest and chocobo feeding quest as 2 of them. I didn't play long enough to experience others. But the samurai job quest was FAR more interesting than A Relic Reborn is, and it didn't give you a super powerful weapon for completion either! thats why I think they could do much better with quests for relics.

    these weapons are upgradable and maybe they will add a lot more to the story of them with a lvl cap increase.

    That wouldn't make A Relic Reborn any less of a lame compilation of reused-content that is nearly identical for every single weapon, and really takes no time at all to complete for 'the most prized weapons' in the game. But thats all they had to go on in 1.0. They could, and hopefully will, do better in ARR with the current relics and the ones that come afterword.

    lets face it. the relic quest was a grind made up of rehashed content(mostly) to keep us busy til ARR since they had already moved almost all the staff to the ARR team and were working with limited manpower and funds for 1.0 version. I wouldn't be to upset over it.

    FFXI did have better things in it just because you could not spam anything forever. things forced you to stay out like dynamis you were lock out, BCNM's you needed orbs you had to buy with beastmen seals.

    the better quest would have to be a slow gain thats not lucky and have you do things that dont require deepest pockets on the server. they should drop old weapons like FFXI did then upgrade. i think they should of just gave us AF weapons which the seem to have skiped then waited for relic in ARR. we have alot of beastmen currency should put that into play like they did with ffxi.

    right now its crap just pure luck on everything or buy a pre-meld weapon then everything else is pure luck and all the quest are the same.
