Cool what I can do when I get upfront about the issue instead of pompously dismissing it like a certain someone!
You know what? It is an elitist statement, because I believe before XI was the best game, and now I think FFXIV will be the best game. Best also meaning elite, even though you already know what it means I figured I'd just sidetrack and inform you anyway because that's what you've been doing to other people. My way of thinking is also elitist because I'm only talking from the experiences of only 2 MMOs that I've ever played for more than a day. Label it, and then deal with it.
I don't want free loaders who don't carry their weight; I want everyone to be in this adventure together at equal customers.
Also, people are using the term RMT as a noun referring to the cheaters/botters/spammers. Except the reality that RMT is just "Real Money Trade". The moment you use USD to get gil, you have also just become an RMT.
There's no way you can make "Spend USD, get gil!" sound good.
When FFXI players did everything there was to do (unlikely) they took a break. The content, people, and experience would lead them to come back. FFXI was/is a huge success. They have nothing to worry about.

By the way, axemtitanium: It is nice to think developers appreciate every player individually. I personally believe they do, you don't, that's cool. They sent me an e-mail saying: "Hey Eric, sorry XIV is terrible, we understand that you love the hell out of us and our series and we feel really bad. Because we have so much pride from being the best all the damn time, we're going to fix this, because we feel like we let you down." I think SE cares a lot. I think we should also care a lot!
