With your scenario though you would have RMT setup to maximise efficiency to get that 2 mill of gill and if SE wanted to they could have random sales to devastate RMT profit margins.

Cause you really think most of people will prefer to pay 4M and not 2M just cause it's sold by RMTs? If they can have 1 month sub for lesser than SE's price or players's price they will buy it.
Anyway i'm just against this kind of system, the REAL money is already directing our lives so i don't want it acts in the same way in a game >.>
And seriously the price for 1 month isn't expensive at all, SE has done a gift for the people who are "legacy", and the "normal" price is correct too so i don't want this system at all.

You're mixing things. RMTs don't months of sub.
And yeah, someone willing to spend money on his character, in quite a lot of case would take the safer route, even if it'd cost them a couple bucks more.
If you get banned, you lose your character and all the time and money you spent on it.
For you and for me maybe. But the fact that Pay to Play games are bleeding like wounded animals lately is in front of everyone's eyes. This system gives the game a way to compete against F2P without having to move to a hybrid system after 6 months, which would be much, much worse. And seriously the price for 1 month isn't expensive at all

I know it but if we can buy a month sub item in game for 2M fixed by RMTs or for 4M fixed by players, only 2M items will be sold. Or maybe i haven't understood what it has been said in previous pages (english isn't my 1st language)
In all cases i don't like the fact to be able to buy stuff or anything in a game with real money XD
Even if that ment a person who had spent real money but through legit means then bought stuff from you which let you get what you wanted instead of possibly having to wait longer.

Yeah. RMT engaging in this kind of commerce would have to keep to the market price (effectively earning nothing), or undercut themselves, which would lower their profit instead of generating it.
Real money already affects the game, whether we want it or not.In all cases i don't like the fact to be able to buy stuff or anything in a game with real money XD

This thread has now received enough attention that it should get consideration by the devs.
But I can't imagine that anyone is being convinced by arguments on either side after almost 400 posts. :/
Best just wait and see...
(I'll assume this idea was added to the question forum for the producer live letter IV)
You're stating each of your opinions as facts and they're not and that makes them lies.
on point 1, basically dude if somebody can't afford 10$ a month they have no business playing ANY game. My utilities alone are probably over 500 a month, at least 200 a week on food, if people are so strapped for cash they can't afford 10 bucks they shouldn't be playing any game at all.
To even play this game at launch you needed a 1k+ PC 10 bucks is laughable
I for one refuse to pay for other people to play
on point 2, in this system people who aren't using normal methods are making the most money. Playtime would be highly valuable, people who sell it would be richer than the people making money through normal methods. Sure I would still have my methods but they wouldn't make as much anymore.
And there is no way to limit it, if they limit it by account then people will just buy more accounts. If they limit it by credit cards people will just use different cards.
And RMT has been basically nonexistant in this game... I believe you were the one earlier that said the worst thing about RMT is that they get in the way of content or cause other people to have a less enjoyable experience...
that doesn't happen in this game, i've only seen them doing leves.
and it's so easy to make money in this game anybody who actually buys gil is an idiot.
