I purchased my crysta via Paypal back in beta (yes I know silly me) and had no issues. Credit card would be a less cumbersome method though. Bayohne posted today that they're trying to make credit card payments possible for the other regions, but didn't say specifically whether it'll be ready by the time billing starts.

I've heard multiple people get charged for the 7 cent charge. The credit card I use tends to freeze $1.00 transactions and under for security reasons. (Example I spent $1 on FFXI getting a additional character and it contacted to make it go through.)
I Feel much safer buying straight from SE. I didn't have a problem with FFXI billing. I REALLY hope SE looks at this thread

Before SE moved to the current payment system, and instead was being directly billed, adding or changing a credit card after 2008 ALWAYS ended up with a call from the credit card company asking if the payment was legit. I did not experience this problem with click-and-buy. I also didn't experience the issue before 2008 when I was being directly billed... but changing credit card information was a pain. I always did it thru the PS2.

Also how can you accuse Click-And-Buy of not responding to emails or phone calls when SE does THE EXACT SAME THING? This confounds me.

Yeah. I would like to pay directly too. I don't like Click and Buy a bit.

Any news on if they are going to have an alternative in time for billing?
I never thought this would be the reason I didn't pay to play, but click and buy is terrible.

I might not wish they get rid of C 'n B but I'm desperate for other options, like direct payment. I'm in USA atm trying to play on my European account, that is suppose to be no problem expect I can't use my European C 'n B account and credit card while on a US ip, wtf seriously? It has to do with laws and restrictions so it's not C 'n B fault, its out of their hands. SE needs to implement more options. I can't give them my monies :-(
