Say NO to Click and Buy

My experience with Click and Buy was just fine until they wanted a copy of my driver license to allow me the privilege of opening an account. When I asked why, their response was "security reasons." I'm not sure why the security requirements are so tight for me to pay $12 a month for a game, but I declined to keep the account. I also tried to use Crysta, but that was more trouble that it was worth for me. I applaud SE for working to complete the game, but if they don't have a better payment option, I won't be staying on after the re-launch.

I agree Click and Buy is the worst service ever. Also, they charge about 7 cents on the dollar for exchange rate, I mean that is ridiculous. Charge me in USD and let my credit card company charge me the 2.5cents. Screw you click and buy.

I've heard multiple people get charged for the 7 cent charge. The credit card I use tends to freeze $1.00 transactions and under for security reasons. (Example I spent $1 on FFXI getting a additional character and it contacted to make it go through.)
I Feel much safer buying straight from SE. I didn't have a problem with FFXI billing. I REALLY hope SE looks at this thread

Yeah. I would like to pay directly too. I don't like Click and Buy a bit.

I never thought this would be the reason I didn't pay to play, but click and buy is terrible.

PayPal direct payments would be nice but I guess getting Crysta through PayPal isn't so roundabout when you take into consideration XBL Marketplace or the PS Online Store, both of which you must accumulate currency on an account before using it.

Uh, how? I'm not even seeing that as an option anymore. Just ClickandBuy, CC through CnB, or something called UltimatePay (which may even be worse than CnB).

I am very worried about what will happen with ClickAndBuy after the re-launch.

As an Australian player, I have no choice but to use this service (no crysta in our region) and pay in the Euro currency (at least we have a better exchange rate on the US dollar).

Please, please, please Square Enix. Fix up your payment options on all fronts.

I used to play WoW, I actually quit WoW for XIV, but I find the payments too complicated. I actually bought XI Ultimate Ed. but never played because I didn't have a credit card at the time... I would advise strongly to Game Time Cards like WoW has, it's the only reason why I played with them instead.
