Say NO to Click and Buy

Please give us more options on auto-payments, Click and Buy is the worst service available on the face of the earth.

Customer service is bad, they don't reply email or pick up their phones, the set up is extremely annoying and troublesome, their TOS are unclear and confusing.

I want POL payment feature back, I don't want to give my credit card info to a site I don't trust. I want to pay directly to SE instead. Who is with me?

if i remember right JP have a way to pay them straight up in FFXI they had other way of paying beside paying by credit card. It seem that others beside the JP get the end of the stick i hope SE give us a way to pay this game other means. I dislike this click and buy.

A company of SE's caliber shouldn't be involved with such a poorly run company as click and buy. There are plenty of options available with a better reputation to handle their billing needs if they won't allow us to pay them directly.

Cut the middle man or get a better middle man. I agree wholeheartedly.

Click and Buy is pretty good at stealing unsuspecting people's money. Even if you cancel your FFXIV payments, you also have to change your credit card information on the Click and Buy site, then deactivate your account, otherwise they will still charge you a maintenance fee.

Actually, they CLAIM this:

Cancellation is not required

As a user, you are not required to cancel expressly, since you incur no charges or other obligations to ClickandBuy. All you need to do is simply stop using the system.

If you want to cancel your membership, just send us an email, indicating your customer number.

But if you look a little further, they also say this:

After 12 months of the ClickandBuy account being inactive we will charge a maintenance fee given that there is credit on your account

1.50 USD or 1.00 EUR or 1.00 GBP

That said, I agree click and buy sucks. Why would they contract with a non-US company to collect their US payments in the first place?

At least it's easy to close your click and buy account (just log in and go to settings > close account. You must wait 7 days after turning off payment authorization for the SE account management system before you can close the account however)

They actually keep your information there forever. It does not get deleted. Last time I try to Cancel a ClickNBuy account because when I try sign up it say the email is already in use, so I know I have make a ClickNBuy account before but can't remember my account. I email them numerous time tell them to Cancel it so I can create a new one. They say just not use it. They will keep your information forever. When I ask why, they say "Security Reason." I was worried about this since they will alway have your credit card and address information with them all the time even you don't use their services anymore.

Just a head up for anyone who sign up with them. If don't believe me you can email or call them up and ask them about it. Or try Cancel then use that same email or credit card, it will say it is already in use...Yikes!

Umm... you can use PayPal.. or the Ultimate Gamer Card(or whatever its called) < they are sold Everywhere. Both options are super easy. Why even use Click and Buy if its a pain?

I'm totally sticking with buying crysta via paypal or getting the game card. ClickandBuy has no business being anywhere near my money.
