Is anyone going back to FFXI until ARR launches? im thinking of going back for nostalgia's sake and just have a wander round....Would be nice if SE gave us a discount to play FFXI in the period that FFXIV is offline...

After playing through Assassin's Creed III, I will probably wind up back in Vanadiel for a bit.
I started playing again around the time the Atomos event started. Nothing too serious, just been messing with fishing, since I never got my Ebisu Rod, and leveling up my Beastmaster while leveling my NPC. I don't plan on getting too involved with anything endgame or doing any of the Magian trials or anything. Mostly I just want to get something to level 99 so I can start working on story missions I was never able to complete when I was playing 5 years ago.
I dunno, FFXI is kinda still a cesspool of ***holes and derps. Soooo I guess it's off to the real world for now. Guess sunlight still exists.
I will indulge myself in Ragnarok Odyssey.
I'll be playing XI casually.
I try and play FFXI few month back and i have to say i can't stand the battle system. For a game i played for about 6years and enjoy the shit out of it for the first time i could not stand the battle system after playing ffxiv for so long.
So i be playing AC3 and other stuff to i get in alpha/beta.

Yeah. Especially when SoA comes out.
XI still feels polished and that's something I like in MMO's.
Capping my alt's parrying in Abyssea - Tahrongi at this time. o.o
I returned in June but got bored quickly. It just seems like I've done all I really want to do. Sure, I could go for Relics/Emps/Myths, or do VW storyline I never finished, but it just seems like at some point FFXI became a hodgepodge of "Do X over and over and over until you possibly might obtain what you want." Granted, I know most MMOs use that overall concept but, for someone that enjoys story elements, once they're gone, it's just a boring exercise in repetition.
