Any of the Espers from FFXII would be cool.

not sure if they would work in this game.. maybe in a themed expansion (empire?)
But we haven't seen many of the Victorian/Japanese/Renaissance style humanoid mobs from FFVI in any recent games:
They all feel very foreign, and would make kind of cool mobs in the empire.. but I do forsee some problems:
1) Believable lore might be an issue with those guys.. Why are these freak-shows attacking us?? (Then again, they could live in a sort of lawless and dangerous Midgar-like area in the slums of the Emprire... , but they serve a rather psychotic mob boss or cult leader)
2) The forums will immediately be full of people asking the devs to make X piece of humanoid mob gear available to players to wear. In which case, players end up looking like the mobs.. and well... it gets stupid.
Still, the FOUR FIENDS (FFI) is what I want now more than anything else.
love this idea

well there you go with mandragoras in ARR:
i have written that tons of times but i just would like to see Gilgamesh in the game.. it would be such an epic boss.. i would enjoy him more than odin.
either in FF8 style
in FF12 style
or even in a complete new style.. i'd be fine with it.
imagine if he could drop many different weapons like we see in the picture above.
This is the post the devs need to read.Final Fantasy 3
Cloud of Darkness
Would be awesome to see her as the final boss in the Crystal Tower raid. Would bring a ton of nostalgia to the game.
Final Fantasy IV
Four Elemental Fiends
I always thought it would be a neat fight with all four of them at once. Like their fight in the Giant of Babil, they take turns fighting you, and maybe at 10% they all come at you at once with a shared HP pool.
Final Fantasy V
Gilgamesh
This one is a given. His background story makes it that he can appear in any Final Fantasy world and I think it is time he took a visit to Eorzea. Good excuse to drop Genji Gear and possibly nostalgia weapons.
Tonberry
No doubt he will make his inevitable appearance, but don't we always want Tonberrys in our Final Fantasy games? Maybe become some type of summon for Arcanist/Summoner.
Final Fantasy VI
Ultros
While already done in FFXIII-2, I think they could have a place in here some how. We already have artwork of Typhoon for FFXIV, naturally he needs his partner in crime, Ultros, yes? Maybe not a fight, but some form of cameo appearance from him.
Doomgaze
This was a very awesome monster to go against, and has great designs that would work well in this game.
+1 Gilgamesh & 4 fiends.
I would actually love to see more pirates and poachers from xiv but done in a way that doesn't haven't them randomly thrown in places that make no sense. The pirate cave next to bald knoll had most of my fav mobs in in 1.0 in it and sadly went totally under utilized.
Also the yensu from XII would go in thanalan region perfectly.

i'd like to see anima from ff10. always liked that summon the most in that game. http://images2.wikia.nocookie.net/__...ma_Artwork.jpg maybe add it in as a big battle of some kind or just something similar in some fitting zone with stuff that has that type of dark crazy looking mobs in them.
http://www.ffcompendium.com/EspMon/demonwall4-b.gif lol maybe demon walls too.
also always loved the looks of toneberry mobs.
