    Have I really just not looked "up" enough in all this time...

    .... or has the landscape of Thanalan changed?

    Those spikey things are the large stone structures you can go inside, usually for leves, etc.

    I swear they look different.

    Am I crazy?

    Oddly enough there something about Humans and looking up, the odd part being Seldom do we do it unless something draws us to do it.

    but yes they've always looked like that
