We actually managed to get everyone to stop attacking it and when we did it walked back to the Chocobo Stables where we all gathered, we stood there together, /prayed and it just collapsed out of nowhere. This was right after it dropped.

I'm beginning to think praying mobs to death was only meant for a phase. But I will continue to try it.

Thats awesome. I can't tell if there just isn't ENOUGH praying or if it actually isn't working anymore... There's no convincing jp players to pray when I can barely communicate to them.

Praying worked on the Bixie, but not (really) on the Nael von Darnus-es and Imperial Guys whom we all managed to take down eventually. Peace in Uldah here for now...

but this may not just work later . The GMs may just change the game. Has anyone managed to mass pray at the shrines yet?

The mobs in Limsa were killed (no praying needed) and then came this:

In Ridill right now popped some elementals and we all are /praying and it don't seems to work, they die fast when we attack them though.

Yeah, I'm beginning to thing this is being done in phases and not randomly. The first phase is deliberately WAY too hard and we can only pray it all to death. Then Darnus + Imperial Guy's spawn and you can only pray down the bixie adds. And then after that, you just have to fight everything down yourself. Then you're told to change town, kill everything there, then it tells you to be on guard... Now waiting for next phase.

I think our server agreed to only /pray to big mobs that take nearly 3-4 hours or more to kill and all gang up and attack the lesser mobs (elementals, Bixie, Cactuars, etc.). But for those boss mobs that last forever, I think we agreed to wait and /pray to them so they insta-die.
