TOPIC - Main event OUTSIDE the cities

I've been refreshing the forums a lot over the last couple days, so while people are ... sort of ... discussing this, I'm also not getting a sense that it has been really focused on. So, this topic. Use it, or use another existing topic, but i'd like to try and focus this part of the discussion.

- Someone made a great point in another topic. Maybe all these uber high level mobs in the cities are simply a diversion, and not the main final event. It's fun enough/aggravating, whatever, but Eorzea is still a really big place.

- When the prayer stones first appeared, it was not blatantly in any patch notes. Some adventurous player had to make a topic to document their locations before the quest was introduced some days later.

- Aside from mention of them in a recent lodestone post, they are now glowing. Furthermore, they are (from what i've read here), also being guarded in places.
Why guard them for nothing?

- If the main cities are really the main part, why multiply anima regeneration by 30? There are mob clusters at other camps, but travel to those camps is already 0.

- So, maybe there is nothing, but we really don't know that, and it would still be fun enough to go out and SEE. At least that's my position. I'll go do it on my own steam at some point, or try and find some people on Sargatanas to go with me as well. I'd like to see what comes up on these forums in the meantime as well though. Again, Eorzeas big. There's lots of space out there for something interesting to have dropped.

The problem right now is there are several mobs stopping us at the gate in terms of any kind of pilgrimage. The camps that matter have mobs that detect any sort of movement and can kill you pretty quick. Doing it alone is difficult unless you walk the whole way or for the majority of it.

I did some exploring around Midgardsomr/Crashed Ship and a little bit of coerthas. Nothing is much different in those areas.

I definitely think we're supposed to do something else than mindlessly hitting (or missing, rather) these mobs for hours. Hopefully we'll get some hints the next few days.

Aye. Exactly. There's 50 people whacking on this stone guy named Number 126. They've been at it here for half an hour and downed it maybe .. 2 or 3% of its health. It's fun in a masochistic way, but ... well, also i've shouted for random exploration party and no takers. It makes some sense. You're right, it kind of has to be done on foot/goobbue/chocoboback ... well, i'll go searching some places and see what i find if nothing else, for my own amusement.

By a rule though, any of the old camp zones with super high level mobs that appear to have not changed at all in terms of the mobs that are there, i will leave for later.

I just realized something... I haven't seen the actual Atomos lately yet there is an excess of Deepvoid Mobs... where is that guy? Any spottings recently?

I heard hes sucking the lanoscea camps now lol anyways i agree with OP there must be more to it devs keep hinting at it in one way or another so i hope they give clearer clues what we are supposed to do and if the 12 marks are involved

I've arrived near my guardian stone (Althyk).
It is indeed swamped with Imperial soldiers, but unlike the level 100 mobs in Ul'dah, these guys are level 50. Seems legit.

I'd bust through, but the Morbols are dangerous and lurking around to complicate matters.
.... a LARGER GROUP seems necessary to keep the area somewhat safe for praying.

Hints would be helpful because there's no convincing them to do anything else. I couldn't even rally people to kill Atomos just once when all they were doing was standing around waiting.
