Sorry if this is a bit off-topic, but it does have to do with Summoners.
I have some questions!
We already know which beastmen are loyal to Ifrit, Garuda, and Titan.
Ifrit: Amal'ja
Garuda: Ixali
Titan: Kobolds
Which of the beastmen do you think will be loyal to which primal? Do you think this pattern of one beastmen group being loyal to one primal will continue, or will it dissipate with 2.0?
The three leftover beastmen groups are Goblins, Sylph, and Qiqirn. Like the other beastmen, you could already obtain their currency in 1.0 (although it was annoying to get considering the lack of 'camps' for each). The three leftover ELEMENTAL primals would be Leviathan, Shiva, and Ramuh. If they are giving CNJ water, then there are now six confirmed elements available to players.
Sylph seem to be conjurers (they have a gem in their chest indicating their element, and conjurers once had access to all elements), but Titan and Garuda are already spoken for. Considering conjurers will only have access to stone, wind, and water... Perhaps they'll be loyal to Leviathan? And then there is Shiva and Ramuh... Qiqirn and Goblins. Hmm.

But is there even a model for them in the game, or is this just speculation? If there was one, I don't remember... although there might be. Now I'm questioning myself. =P I'd be happy if they came back -- err, came here. They're funny little creatures.

Ramuh = Sylphs (Sylphs are lightning element creatures, and the lightning bolt logo is prominent in their home/beastcamp area)

Leviathan = Sahagin (Artwork confirming sahagin as well as Limsan Lore)
Shiva = unconfirmed Ice mobs (Most likely Gigas/Giants - no info or artowrk released yet, but probably coming with the ice area in 2.0)
Goblins and Qiqirn don't seem to have a primal at this time. It is possible that we may see something in the future but the original plan for Primals was 6 elementals (Ifrit, Titan, Garuda, Shiva, Leviathan, Ramuh), a roaming Primal (Odin) and a Dark and/or Light Primal (I think King Mog is the Dark, but sure if there was a Light one confirmed).

What was said about carbuncle is that it is arcanist exclusive. Meaning that it will not be able to be set by other jobs.
I think the whole essence thing is that the primals power is housed in another being. We saw concept art of chupon, fenrir, and cait sith. Could be wrong but i think that is the direction they are going.

The Special Talk they did on it said that Carby would be 'replaced' while as a SMN, but that may have just been a mis-translation or something. I'm pretty sure SMNs won't be able to use him, though. What was said about carbuncle is that it is arcanist exclusive. Meaning that it will not be able to be set by other jobs.

Methinks that Chupon, Cait Sith, Fenny and Odin are all wandering Primals, so I'd be surprised if SMN could actually use any of their abilities; at least not until the cap rises. I've also had the artwork of Bahamut up on my background for months now, so maybe he'll be wandering too, if not an actual main part of a storyline.

Where did they say WHM would have water magic in 2.0?
