Woo first post!

I just thought I'd chime in with my own speculation about Summoner and their abilities since people keep asking about -how- they learn how to summon the Primals' "essence" in the first place.

I've seen lots of people asking but no-one seems to have covered this (although I may have just blanked it completely )

In the previous Live letter (I think it was there) we were told that SMN could call 4 Primals to help in battle, which people seemed to think was limiting and silly... I thought it was really the only way.

If they're doing SMN like every other DoW/M then it'll learn 5 job-specific abilities, right? Well if one of them is a 15-minute CD move, then the other 4 will be single attacks that stem from each of the Primals. Well, that's just my speculation. In which case, they way you obtain the move would be via a job-quest, just like how you would acquire Jump, Ballad or Holy.

Because of this, I doubt SMN will work like it did in XI in any way (It might, but I wouldn't complain if it was different... I like change). Did anyone play Dissida 012[Duodecim]? I think they way SMN will play, in regards to Primal moves, will be very similar to Yuna, in that the Primal will come out for 1 move and then retreat.

But that's just how I imagine it being, I might be completely wrong...

I'm pretty sure that 'learning' the Primals will be as I mentioned though, and killing them in generic Primal battles isn't enough to obtain their respective move... would be silly!

But yeah, let me know if anyone disagrees. Like I said, this is just my speculation
