What brought you to Balmung?

With the end of the world drawing near, I thought it'd be fun to talk about what brought us to this server (or whatever server you were on that merged and created Balmung).

What brought me here? Back in sometime in June/July of 2011, I made a post commenting on how I wish there was more roleplaying going on. At the time of the post, I believe I was on the server Rabanastre (I know I was on there at some point.) They referred me to the server Besaid, and out of curiosity I deleted one of my two characters (one I rarely played) and made a female Miqo'te there, Ariel Ralin. For the first few days, I never came across any RP. But one day, I was running through Ul'dah (hadn't even made anything for the character for RP at that point for some reason), and came across a roleplayer, and we ended up roleplaying for a bit, and ended up in an RP and OOC shell because of that.

That's my story for it, what is yours?

Was originally on Fabul because a lot of my old friends from XI were going to start there So I followed. Then the merge happened etc

I wanted to practice the japanese I learned in high school so I chose a server that that had the most posts in the Japanese world threads.

Nothing brought me to Balmung, the server itself and the people came to me.

I joined XIV to play with my friends, who had all played XI (though I didn't). They chose a server based on where their XI groups were going, and I remember there was a huge tossup between Besaid and a different server, and everyone was concerned about Besaid cuz it was the RP server. (Lol. <3 you, RPers.)

Anyway, we ended up on Besaid. And there ya go.

I was promised some candy, was pushed into a van with no windows.... that's all I remember.
