This wasn't information from 2ch though as I was browsing it the first time hints even popped up about anything remotely related to ARR's release.
Only thing on 2ch besides the usual is about stuff happening within ARR alpha, which Yoshida is obviously playing as well.
Also to add to what I already said people should think logically for a second at how stupid this sort of thing sounds. Adding what, 300 people to an already 300~ people team? More people != more production. In fact, it slows things down.
Those people would need to be trained and be brought into the loop of everything, learn about the game's pipeline, and actually adapt to the team's synergy.
The game is pretty much done (the start of it anyway). It is in testing state. In fact I believe Yoshida said at Gamescom (at least that's what everyone's been telling me he said in an interview) that the game will be released before 2013, some time around Christmas. How does that suddenly get pushed to July? I said March and no one believed me saying "nope Yoshida definitely said before 2013 you're stupid".
What is Vs. XIII's team going to do? Add 300 more beta testers?
That was a simple example. Anyone holding even a bit of credibility would have way more than 173 followers on twitter.
beta before 2013, not release. Also to add to what I already said people should think logically for a second at how stupid this sort of thing sounds. Adding what, 300 people to an already 300~ people team? More people != more production. In fact, it slows things down.

Just like many others have already said if it's not from a official source then the information is poop.
I have looked everyone, and I have never ever heard, before 2013. Where did u find this?I don't think thats true >.<.
It really doesn't in game development, it just means bigger team sizes on a section compared to the small number that were likely on it. In normal situations more doesn't always mean more production, but when you're scrambling to push something out, more talent is always better especially if you're on a tight deadline.
They last said they rebuilt this game in a year, that's a hell of a lot of work for a small team to do, so clearly the more team members means more workload being spread out to quickens things. The only time More = Less production is if it's badly managed.
So if ARR ends up a steaming pile, Yoshida is the one to blame, not the team members because that would mean he dropped the ball managing them.
I call
But if its true then I guess I'll just wait![]()
His face says it all...
Gone (??) but certainly not forgotten... Louisiox, a true Hero!
That is anecdotal, that is not something I can personally confirm. I thought Yoshida originally said he assumed it would be ready by March (as I believe that was posted on the production calendar which is available on the site). When I brought that up in several communities, both community members and staff members alike argued with me and said Yoshida claimed it would be ready before 2013. I thought they were wrong, they told me to "watch Gamescom". I didn't. According to someone above, that might of referred to the beta.
wth JULY!!!!!!!!!!!! that's too long.
