    Do i need to buy the new game?

    Iam a ffxiv player since the begining and my question is do i need to buy the new game or since my data is gona continue on realm reborn will it just update the ffxiv i been playing?

    But our FFXIV 1.0 CDs are worthless right now right? Since it won't automatically download the new client. And if we want a reinstall CD without a download we have to buy it again or make our own CD?

    That is not known at this time, but from the looks of the Alpha you should be fine. They will issue a D/L link only available to members with access to it.

    ARR is a separate client altogether. You can't use 1.0 to upgrade to 2.0, believe this was also stated awhile back.

    So what? We remove the current game from our HD, and then DL the new client when it's made available?
