Was it ever questioned that the Circle of Knowing posses the Echo? I remember Moose talking about Y'shtola using the Echo multiple times to make you think shes warping around ..or maybe that's one of her powers ...she can be wherever she wants to be. Anyways in the Gridania intro Papalymo understand Mooglespeak so he doesn't just posses the Echo he got the extra gift.

You mean the race that lives hundreds of years? lol i think he had time to learn it whereas Papalymo is not that old but maybe you are right . now that i think about it we take with us Papalymo and Yda into an Echo where we witness the kid setting the tree on fire and when we get out of it they don't know what just happened, Papalymo realizes its a power but not theirs and then he looks at you.
