Yeah they gonna take out that for a while but path companions coming back later and we will be able to do more stuff with them

Not sure what you mean by rewritten sorry.

I'd say our Path Companions could have repeats, unless somehow it conflicts with the new battle system, then I'd say when we go to the Path we'd have something like "oh yeah I remember them...now what was their name again?" kinda thing, lol just a guess

1.0's story original story is being scrapped and rewritten, is what I'm talking about. And the question was whether or not Path Companion names had to be unique like Retainers when we chose them, (i.e. no 2 players can use the same name).

They won't be available at the start of ARR, but they could be brought back later on. And even to change their equipment and stuff.

One NPC at the Musketeer guild says that the Indigo seas (correct me if i'm wrong on the sea name) has been a battlefield for a while now where the Sahagin and Leviathan don't want to give up and they are been a pain.
Any thoughts on this?

There aren't any islands so it must be an all ship battle. On the map of Aldenard/Vyldabrand it says Indigo Deep. So I wonder if the Indigo Deep is a place in the Indigo Sea, Deep as in maybe a very deep chasm in the sea?

On a side note, still trying to piece together the Ul'dah Storyline. Starting to think the events happened the same time as Garleans began their war with Ala Mhigo or the same time as the Battle of Silvertear Skies.

When i first saw the Concept way back when i thought it might be redesigns for Ascian but when they added the rear shots and the two additional concepts making it more wing like then tattered cloak it just makes the most sense to be succubi like Noloe said.
