Probably tells Bahamut to check his loot list and take one of the Rat Tails (those explosions had to kill some Gnats somewhere).

Wow this thread took forever to read! Extremely interesting and witty rambles going on here...
As someone who has watched the End of an Era trailer more than 20 times at least, I'm of the opinion that there is some kind of horse-like sound right as Loui begins to smile. I have no idea how that could possibly make sense at all, and I acknowledge that it could be some kind of windy incoming death sounds, but I calls 'em as I sees 'em.
Also if anyone could post a link to the new interview stuff being mentioned, or the post containing it, I would appreciate it.~

Tactics Ogre: Let Us Cling Together Autographed By "Akihiko Yoshida Tarot Card Sweepstakes Winner
Hey Fernehalwes can you ask the Lore Lords the rest of the story about Ahldbhar the Archon Roegadyn thought to be incarnation of Rhalgr himself that battled against powerful sorcerers but at the end he ran away with them in an act that seems betrayal ....
Some story bits from the gamewatch interview, full post here
- Nael is dead. [Sounded pretty final, so no "coming back as omega weapon" etc]
- Gaius was just observing which party is going to fall, so he and his troops are unharmed. He is going to be our opponent for the time being.
- Crystal tower is related to the mystery behind the Allagan Empire, and is it's legacy.
- All of the 3 storylines are interwined somehow.
- Dalamud was a machine created by the Allagan Empire [so, it was not the same as the sealing ceremony Louisiox tried to perform!]
- The emperor Xandes (sp?) of the Allagan Empire is not dead. He is actually in a cold sleep chamber. Yoshida-san wants us to speculate whether Nael was trying to bring Dalamud down to awaken the Emperor and whether the appearance of the Crystal Tower signifies the Emperor's awakening or not.
- Main story will end at lvl50 with a tentative ending, what will follow are numbered patches, just like with the 7th Umbral Era storyline of 1.x. He emphasizes that he's not talking about expansions here. Those 3 storylines will come to a conclusion before the first expansion is released.
- "The Grand Labyrith of Bahamut" is not meant figuratively, but literally. It's going to be huge.
- It appears that Bahamut was not allowed to roam around freely, which is why there is a labyrinth and why the world has recovered. The whiteout at the end of the End of Era trailer takes place right before something happens. [Odin after all?]
- ARR opening may feature a narration by Louisiox.

Oh right, it was the VIIth Legion fighting on the Flats. The XIVth Legion is Gaius'.Some story bits from the gamewatch interview, full post here
[LIST][*] Gaius was just observing which party is going to fall, so he and his troops are unharmed. He is going to be our opponent for the time being.
On a side note, remember the talk about Ascians and those without shadows (specifically Tranvanchet). Y'shtola was looking for him, as shown in Legends Adrift (3rd Limsa Quest).
I'm recording all cutscenes (takes up a lot of space!).
I don't know how much the Ascians are going to play a part in ARR since the original story was scrapped.
I studied the Limsa storyline a lot and here's he summary. Basically, the Ascian Travanchet was looking for the "Key" that would unlock "Seal Rock". Seal Rock is supposed to be an island called Swallowtail Roam that, like Dalamud, was the prison for a giant serpent that spewed water until all of the land and life on Eorzea was threatened. Y'shtola read a tablet fished off the island, that suspiciously looks similar to the type of "stones" that made up Dalamud. The tablet said that there were some fell Grammaryes (magic) that called forth "O'erreaching seas." Later, however, in the recruiting quests for the GCs, Y'shtola spoke of a cabal of mages that either triggered or stopped up the deluge (Sisipu says it was Llymlaen who stopped it) but she stopped short of saying what the truth was.
At any rate, the Ascian wanted to key to himself. He was also in line with the Sahagin who turned violent and aggressive as soon as Swallowtail Roam appeared. Considering what we know from the sylphs, exposure to the influence of primals causes changes in the beast tribes, making them violent and aggressive.
If the "key" that the Ascian was seeking is the one that would be used to free a primal (Leviathan) from his cage, would it stand to reason that the Ascian was "teaching" the Sahagins how to summon a primal and therefore, is it reasonable to speculate that Ascians are the Paragons?
Your thoughts please.
I don't know if unsealing a primal is the same as teaching the tribes to summon it. To me, it sounds more like he just wanted to free Leviathan, possibly to let it run wild, kinda like Bahamut went wild upon being unsealed. I can imagine Leviathan would be pretty mad after being sealed for so long too...If the "key" that the Ascian was seeking is the one that would be used to free a primal (Leviathan) from his cage, would it stand to reason that the Ascian was "teaching" the Sahagins how to summon a primal and therefore, is it reasonable to speculate that Ascians are the Paragons?
Sidenote: I think you meant "Grimoires"
