I'm going to assume they must at least have names, or else they wouldn't have got their own personalised bit of text.Seems plausible that they could be Imperials of the VIIth legion, Meteor was their secret at the time and the man is looking up at Dalamud. They could be ancestors of Allag like Nael or they could somehow be Allagans themselves or they could even be worshippers of Bahamut. They could be just about anything really.
Ferne is probably giggling to himself right now... (are you indeed a him?)

Moose, next time you ask yourself "How come we are always asking YOU for answers in LS chat or voice chat?" Well, you are a live encyclopedia![]()

That is bleak."Hey, everyone! The Empire is about to invade, but everything is going to be okay; a divine egg will hatch and we'll all be saved..."
Oho! a lot has been going on since i logged out. Maybe people HiiNoivl talks about have to do with the mysterious hooded man that stabs the Elezen guy in the Ul'dah storyline as also there seems like what he did was to keep something secret.
Yoshi-P said this in a recent interview: (taken from Reinhart's thread)
story of ARR
something similar to 4 heroes of light of FFI
end of era trailer has a continuation -> opening of ARR
ARR is set 5 years after end of 1.0, why world has recovered so fast is related to what happened in the last moments between Louisiox and Bahamut. Will be the main of the 3 storylines in ARR until the first expansion and will explain about the Allag Empire, Dalamud, why Bahamut was sealed and what became of Louisiox.
2 other storylines:
conflict with Garlemard
first goal of the empire is to stop the beast tribes
conquest is only secondary
fight against the primals
aether energy is same as FFVII lifestream: use (summoning) damages planet, needs to be stopped
story will be episodic
first ep: conclusion of the 7th umbral era catastrophe (cap still lv50)
"Ishgard", "Recovery of Ala Mhigo", and "The Garlean Empire" used as examples for new story episodes/expansions
old 1.0 story got scrapped, however the essence is still there.
EDIT Bold for very interesting bits

Recovery of Ala Mhigo...
I wonder if all of our threads early on (about turning it into a besieged style zone where we can win or lose the city and a continuum of its resources) had any influence on this idea or if they had their own plan already in place.
"I shall refrain from making any further wild claims until such time as I have evidence."
– Y'shtola
Here's the elaborate version on that:
Garlean Empire's motivation is "Primals are killing the planet, so we have to stop them. Unite under our banner to bring on an era of peace! If you go against us, this means you are aiding the beast tribes to destroy the planet and are our enemy." Thus, the conquest is only secondary in the sense that they don't want the land or the riches per se, but are focused on getting as much power as possible to get rid off the primals and their beast tribes.
Basically, we're both fighting for the same cause, but we don't want to unite with the Empire and lose our independence. Yoshida-san said he wants to keep this ambivalent relationship a little longer. Maybe it's a hint to a future alliance with the Empire?
Yoshida-san also said that of course, due to human nature, there are cases of aggression purely out of greed, too, so it's not like they're some kind of saints.

I agree with you and is possible that that was their original plan until Nael Van Darnus , In the final CS of "It kills with fire" he shows up and starts giving you a speech of joining forces and suddenly out of nowhere he shoots an attack of energy at you which even surprises the soldiers that are with him. Why attack me? i just did them a favor? Here's the elaborate version on that:

His Legion follow orders to attack us as well, and it only gets worse with the progress in the story to the point that he hates everyone equally quite different from the Black Wolf.
Also to justify Garlemald's doing they used to be the redhead step child of Hydaelin before the current Emperor made his appearance so all of what they did/do has a vibe of "Look what we are capable of now"
Wah!! Don't be angry, Gemma! I have a Lalafell Memory. ; ; I really didn't remember your post. /cry
About the recovery of Eoreza after the fall of Dalamud:
Papalymo: Channeling even a tiny portion of a deity's strength will tax you greatly. Fortunately, no more that that should be needed to stay the red moon's advance. At the very least, it should be sufficient to nullify Dalamud's power and ensure Eorzea's preservation. For an added blessing, the process should see some aether returned to the land -- Aether that Dalamud had absorbed from the primals. There is yet a future for Eorzea. I ,for one, believe this to be true.
(Wow, they're already talking about expansions. Hehehe. Bet the farm, Yoshi P, bet the farm.)

As Yoshi-P said something will happen between Louisoix and Bahamut at the last second.. one final trick! what does this mean? maybe Louisoix has a spell to make Eorzea absorb back all the aether Bahamut has?
