When will 2nd phase of alpha commence??

NA/EU is in the 3rd+ phase anyway. It's going well so probably next week if it followed same pattern as 1.0 Alpha.

And before I get flamed for my statement, and for those who think am crazy, I have one question.

Can we agree that up until this point the roadmap has been followed to the letter? If you say yes, look at the mark when 2.0 free version will is scheduled to start. It is the beginning of Nov and no I am not talking Alpha.

They have been working on 2.0 all year and we are now currently "Stress testing the servers."

I wish I could whip that sort of optimism out when I needed it :P

Unless I've missed some information, I haven't seen much from the current alpha tests so I do hope it's running smoothly which would mean they're keeping on track from what Yoshi mentioned in a dev letter a month or two back.

If it's on scheduel it would be after the second week of Alpha. Shortly after the game shuts down from the dramatic finaly, but I think alot of people will be dissapointed when Alpha turns out to be all about stress tests and less about play.

Really going to have to wait for Beta for that stuff usually.

I would say yes..however it's pretty much confirmed it won't be launching untill 2013, the later half of it most likely as well. They did say it depends on how well it goes and Alpha is going very well..but we haven't even entered beta yet and I don't think beta would be shorter than alpha which is scheduled to last a month.

But that is my point.

If you look at the roadmap, there is no mention at all of a beta for PC. They only state open and closed beta for PS3.

As a friend told me, I have a hard time seeing the game being down until 1st or 2nd qt of 2013 because of the current state of the game. It is getting better, but we are the hardcore fanboys (and girls) who weathered the storm (pun) and stayed when others jumped ship (I am a pirate you know).

I hope that I am right but you never know, I could be way off. I am just giving a best guess and using the information we were giving via the roadmap.
