The timeline says in-game changes. When Dalamud hits, it coincides with the servers going down, so we won't see those changes in-game.

It doesn't have to physcially change in the data for it to be changed by the story. Just paint a mental image of the change, like reading a book.

Its only a cutscene, nothing will happen to the world! Which why they said they will keep the servers up and it wont fit the grand finale story, because it will be intact and dalamud will still be close to hit.

And, they are keeping the servers up after the 11th because over 30% of the voting playerbase voted to keep them up. They also reminded us that anything after the 11th if you chose to log back in would be a contridiction to the story (Dalamud hitting, us being wisked into the future or whatnot).

only 83 people were online on Excalibur... about 20 were in mhordona and the rest were either in uldah or outside of it x_x everythings dead o.o

That's how it will be now :3 Mostly only JP's wanted the servers open past 11/11 so i doubt EU/NA will play the current version much more tbh :/
Trying to shout for Garuda funs in my server and none wants in lol :\ all doing the outside uldah event which already got boring to me :3

Well like I said earlier, I assume that the changes they're referring to is Dalamud's descent and the Garlean airships and the mob behavior and such, rather than to Eorzea's surface itself. A bit misleading, but I can still see them as radical changes.
