I've been periodically making my rounds in Gridania between Stillglade Fane and Quiver's Hold.
Fortunately, nothing yet. As I'm the only person, let alone Twin Adder Serpent here. >//>

Day 3: Nael Van Darnus will spawn in your Inn room, and a horde of lv99 golems will spawn at whatever node you have set as your other home point.
Killed a butcher right before maintenance, he was at the uldah zoneline so he wasnt hitting anyone haha.
I'm still trying to figure out why we were having such a hard time with him. But we really were. That ranged AoE one-shot was slaughtering us. Even went through Dread Spikes, which had served me faithfully up until that point.
It's server problems. There maybe some errors due to everyone and everything in those areas. Such things like a server overload, etc. It wouldn't surprise me with all of those characters in the area.Have there been any attacks on the other two main cities ? Have anyone checked on Ishgard Gates ?
I just got this:
-------- System Message --------
From 5:00 a.m. (PDT) / 12:00 (GMT), we will be performing emergency maintenance on certain areas in Ul'dah and certain areas in Central Thanalan for 30 minutes.
Please be aware that if you are logged into the aforementioned areas when maintenance begins, you will be disconnected.
Changes to those areas ?
My biggest issue with this finale is that most all the mobs 1-2 shot you. I understand this is an "end of the world" type event, but it gets real annoying dying multiple times to the point your gear gets totally thrashed in the process. I would rather the mobs be within a respectable difficulty range instead of doing 5k~9999 damage to me >.>

[Update Details]
Below are Updates related to the end of the Seventh Umbral Era:
- Weaker monsters that are being repelled by adventurers will be replaced by deadlier types.
- Certain monsters that have been hiding their true potential will now unleash their wrath. (This has been already implemented for some of the monsters)
- These monsters will no longer be stunned by a mere Wrist Flick.
- As relief for adventurers facing enormous odds stacked against them, anima recovery rate will be multiplied by 30 to make it easier to call for help.
[Date & Time]
Nov. 2, 2012 from 21:00 to 22:00 (GMT)
* The completion time may be subject to change.
[Affected Service]
- FINAL FANTASY XIV
So if the mobs are getting stronger, are we supposed to be coming up with the means to weaken them? As in praying to the twelve? I think I've been convinced that it needs investigatin'
