Impact counter in the launcher

The launcher is basically a web page, from what I saw, so the counter is simply some kind of java/flash element that theorically could be run on any web browser.

Considering that i'm not the most savvy in this kind of things, is it possible to isolate the counter (basically getting where the launcher is loading it from), to run it in any web browser to make sure we don't miss the event?

Or maybe SE should just put it on the lodestone...

Once the counter hits and you are linked to the youtube page with the video on it - I can only imagine that link will also be passed through forums and websites.

I wouldnt worry about being there right at the 00:00:00. In fact someone will probably record their client just in case something happens to the client itself.

Maybe someone can strip it out, though I dont know how much SE would like that posted on their forums lol.

Look forward to the update to the lodestone at 10PM (PDT), maybe it will appear there.

I thought about embedding the countdown on our LS page but getting the code is hard. The login page with the countdown is a normal website displayed via a simple built-in browser. The problem is: context menus are disabled so you have no chance to get the source code the regular way. I'm hoping it will just appear on the Lodestone soonish because getting the code from there is way easier.

If you are online when the counter reaches 00:00:00, FFXIV will be uninstalled, your wallpaper will change to an image of dalamud. Five minutes after that, all your files will be deleted and your HD will explode.

(Accessing it directly will most likely display it in JP and the countdown will be wrong And the future link that should be clickable when the countdown reaches 0 is http://lodestone.finalfantasyxiv.com...teor/index.htm. Right now it 404 off course.)
