What too many of the people who cry "segregation waaah" do not realize, either by denial, naivety, or whatever is that while they may want to play with foreigners, the foreigners may not necessarily want to play with them. It's a consideration that should not be overlooked and too often is.

Fact is this: this game has started to incorporate many features that this community (and the mmo community at large of course) consider to be "standard" mmo features. Every time this happens, it is a move away from the traditional (read: dying) ff online model ala FFXI. Each of these changes has caused a variable stir in our little community. Huge discussions/arguments have taken place over topics like the claim system, instanced-based content (vs. open world), the retainer system, having two home points, rested xp, etc etc you know them all if you read these boards. And for what? All that hubbub about stuff that was coming, got implemented, and now you deal with it, grudgingly or otherwise.

My point is this: it's gonna happen, like it not. You can argue it sucks until you're blue in the face, but at the end of the day if you're going to play XIV, you're gonna have to swallow this just like all the other changes people complained about prior to implementation and yet don't make a peep about anymore. Bottom line: you'll all get over it.
