A bunch of americans on the same server...Awesome...Cooperation is our middle name rite? I dunno. I like the multinational feel of this game. It was one of the better aspects to XI and XIV. Sure I'm glad that we're reducing server lag, but I doubt many NA, EU, and JP players will be playing on international servers. So goodbye our international friends, it's been real.

You will not be able to change or choose Server after launch of ARR. Have been said a lot of Times allready, that you will stay on the Server you are on now if you are currently playing 1.0. World Transfer will come a while after Release, but i doubt that you will see 1000's of people switching Servers, after they experienced 2.0 and actually prolly less latency than there is right now.

World Transfer will come a while after Release, but i doubt that you will see 1000's of people switching Servers, after they experienced 2.0 and actually prolly less latency than there is right now.

No where has it explicitly been stated that current players will not be able to pick a different server at ARR launch; only that existing players will not be able to immediately transfer to servers designated for brand new players. How much sense does it make to introduce regional servers at the start of the game, yet not let people choose them?

I dont have to prove anything. If people are to lazy to research before they go to post Stuff, how does that makes me bringing something up? You are right, cause you say so? If people want clarification, go use the Dev Tracker, go use the search option.

Logic dictates that this is correct, but we all know what most forum posters do with logic; they throw it out the window to conclude the most illogical scenario they possibly can, and spread that misinformation as certain truth until patch notes prove otherwise.

To clarify this again:

- Existing Players will not be able to move to the new Servers.
- Existing Players will have an initial choice of switching to a different ( currently existing ) Server.
- NEW Servers will be the ones which are located in regional Data-Center ( Japan, Europe or North America ).
- OLD Servers will be still in Japan, they are not going anywhere.

People ask if you can switch as a current Player to a "regional server", the answer is: No you can not, since the old Servers will be still in Japan. So you are not able to switch to a regional Server and the OLD Servers will remain International. SE will introduce a World Transfer similiar to FFXI at a certain Time ( Which will be most likely based on stability on the Economy on the new Server ). What's so hard to understand about this?

Of course SE could go and bring some of the Current Servers to the Data-Centers around the Globe, but that we dont know.

Yoshi-P stated that regional servers would be available at launch. As you so eloquently put it in your reply, go find that information yourself, I'm not going to link to it.

What the hell do you think is housed in a data center?

To clarify this again:

There is nothing to support your claims that none of the currently existing servers will not be moved to the regional data centers or that the regional servers will only be available for only new players at the beginning. Nothing has been said that the current servers are staying in Japan. For all we know, the current server hardware could be decommissioned and brand new servers could be labeled with the old names or are loaded with the 1.0 character data.

This is all speculation. I'm not saying this isn't what will happen, but a community rep hasn't specifically stated the above quote block is true either.

Let's create regional servers but not allow anyone to transfer to them.
